Membership

The Highway District 2 Credit Union was organized and chartered in 1958 as an association of the employees of the Fort Worth District State Highway Department. As of December, 2021, the Credit Union has 742 members with total assets of $5,459,341.06. The credit union has processed 25,849 loans since 1958 totaling $73,139,693.

Who May Join

Employees and their Family
The field of membership includes employee, spouse and members of the family residing in the same household. Once a member always a member, unless a member closes their account.

Former Members
A former member may re-open an account if he/she meets the field of membership.

Retired Employees
A retired employee and spouse are eligible to join and continue their membership.

What Does It Cost

A member must have a minimum of $25 in their share account to earn a dividend and be eligible to make application for a loan. The membership fee is $1. The savings account are insured up to at least $250,000 by the National Credit Union Insurance Fund.

How Do I Join?

You may add to your account by depositing cash, check, or through payroll deduction. Now that TxDOT is offering payroll deduction for credit unions, it would be a good time for you to start that savings program for you, your spouse and children.

The Credit Union offers competitive loan rates on autos, boats, equipment, ATV’s, personal loans.
